| Short Statement: |
Displacement and reconstruction can only be justified when there is complete compatibility and a sense of partnership among all the stakeholders in the venture or effort. Responsibility of sustainable measures should invariably be an integral part of each and every R & R policy, especially for those ventures - where there is shift in means of livelihood and where land for land is not provided. Gender issues and women’s position have to be adequately addressed, more so, in affected patriarchal societies. |
